PLA Advisory provides experienced executive judgment to support specific leadership decisions through uncertainty.
This is not general HR advisory.

When Decision Support Is Used
PLA Advisory is typically engaged when:
A CEO is deciding whether to back, fix, or exit a critical executive
A Board is divided on leadership readiness ahead of scale, transition, or integration
A PE sponsor wants an independent read on execution risk within the leadership team
A senior People leader needs outside judgment before an irreversible call
If the situation does not involve a consequential leadership decision, PLA Advisory is not the right fit.
How It Works
PLA Advisory engagements are bounded, decision-focused, and time-limited.
Each engagement includes:
A clearly defined decision and audience (CEO, Board, or sponsor)
Direct access to relevant stakeholders and context
A clear point of view — not neutral analysis
Where helpful, executive assessment tools (including Hogan) are used only to sharpen judgment, never as the product itself.
Each engagement culminates in a decision-forcing judgment memo, tailored to its audience, that:
Frames the decision to be made
Surfaces tradeoffs, risks, and failure modes
Provides a clear recommendation and rationale
Outputs are written to be Board-grade, defensible, and action-oriented — not diagnostic reports.
What We Don’t Do
PLA Advisory does not provide:
Ongoing advisory retainers
General HR consulting or operational support
Executive coaching as a standalone service
Assessment-only services or personality reports
Executive search or transactional HR work
We do not sell tools or hours. We support decisions.
